We invite you to pray for those serving with International Teams.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

With refugees

Brian and Christine Cottrell and Family

Glasgow, Scotland

Praise God for the continued growth of drop-in and the opportunities to share Jesus. Pray for people’s lives to be changed. Pray for refreshment for the volunteers over the summer break.
Continue to pray for the planning for a night drop-in for asylum seekers – that God would raise up adequate staff, finances and facilities so that all will be in place for next winter.
Pray for wisdom as they think through the short term housing project for Asylum Seekers.
Pray for a refugee family who’ve begun coming to church, pray for their transition into life in the UK as they negotiate through all the necessary steps to become ‘regular’ residents.

Linda Goldthorpe

Home Service Leave, joining Sydney Refugee Team in January 2012

Praise God for those from Linda’s church who rode in RIDE for Refugees Brisbane to support Linda in ministry.
Pray that this period of home service leave would be refreshing and encouraging, as Linda prepares to join the Sydney Refugee Team in January 2012.
Pray for provision of financial support, appropriate housing and a new home church in Sydney.
Pray for a smooth transition to life in Sydney.

David Field

Pray for new refugee believers, that they would grow as faithful disciples of Jesus.
Pray that the many refugees from Chechnya and Afghanistan will come to know Jesus in Austria.
Pray for many opportunities to share the gospel, as larger numbers of refugees visit the Oasis seeking warm clothes and hot drinks over winter.

Praise God for Emma’s relationship with a Turkish woman, who has started coming to church despite the language barrier. Pray that she will experience Christ and rest in Him alone and this will spread to her adult children.
Pray for the provision of a new leader for the refugee team.

Global Refugee Ministry Catalyst and RIDE for Refugees Australia

Praise God for the encouraging meetings with those serving in refugee ministry at the International Teams Europe Conference.
Praise God for great RIDE days in Sydney and Brisbane, and thank God for those who rode and volunteered and for the funds raised to help support those serving with refugees around the world.
Pray for RIDE for Refugees Tasmania on Saturday 12 November, that more riders and volunteers will get involved.

Please continue to pray for our refugee friends as they await the decision from the Refugee Review Tribunal. Pray that they will grow in their new found faith, and for us as we spend time discipling them.
Pray for us as we lead the team and for the new members joining us later in the year.
Give thanks for all those who participated in RIDE for Refugees this year and pray that sufficient funds will be raised for our team to continue to minister to refugees in Sydney.
Pray for a new family of Iranian refugees that we recently met and will be building relationship with.

Praise God for the opportunity to move the cafe to a more strategic location opposite the entrance to the creative arts campus of the university.
Pray for the young people who they have connected with through the Café.
Pray that God will raise up Christian workers to join Phil and Sandy in the ministry of RenovArte Café.
Praise God for three young people who made decisions to follow Jesus through the ministry of Conexion Vertical and RenovArte Cafe. Pray that they would grow as faithful disciples of Jesus.
Pray for balance between the ministry and family life.

Praise God for the safe arrival of Nathan and Kate’s 4^th child – Paterson John
Pray for Nathan and Kate and their family as they readjust to life in Bolivia following their second home service leave.
Pray for Yo Soy Church, for God’s guidance in the direction and leadership of the church and for numerical and spiritual growth as we seek to know Christ and make him known.
Give thanks for provision of funds for Roots Association and for the scholarships the Association has been able to provide.
Pray for the spiritual growth of the theological students who have been given scholarships.

Give thanks for the International Teams Europe Conference in Switzerland, and for John and Kathy’s role in helping to facilitate an encouraging and strengthening week for many missionaries serving in Europe.
