God has a heart for justice!

What does Justice and Transformation mean?

It was particularly encouraging to be reminded that God has a heart for justice amidst the horrific injustices in our world.

I would like to hear much more about being involved with working with refugees in Australia.

These are only two of the responses to our Justice and Transformation Workshop last night. Those who attended heard about God’s heart for justice as evident throughout the Bible.

Sally and Brendan Jones from our Sydney Refugee Team helped us to think carefully about what it means to be a refugee and debunked some of the myths espoused by the popular media about asylum seekers, boats and detention.

Kelsey Wilson, talked about the who/what/where of modern day slavery and as she shared Maria’s story, she reminded us that amidst the horrifying, and at times overwhelming stories of injustice, there are real people’s lives at stake here. And as the church in Australia God calls us to speak up, learn, pray, go and give.

How do we help bring justice and transformation?

If you missed our introductory workshop on Justice and Transformation, never fear! We can run our workshop again in your church or for a group of people who want to know more. Please contact us to find out more!
