Long Term (2 years or more)

The idea of being a missionary long term can be very scary.

Being part of a team and going into ministry for an initial period of two years can assist to diminish this pressure. Through a careful application process, talking with church, friends and an employer we can help place you in a role that is supportive, stimulating, usually innovative and help you in your own Christian walk.

After an initial period of language learning and cultural adjustment you will gradually begin involvement in ministry. This will be done within the supportive environment of a team who usually have been on the team a number of years and so can coach you though this time of learning.

After the initial period of two years you will come home for a time of furlough, meeting with church and IT staff before heading back for another term, usually three years. During your furlough time we will ensure you have adequate rest, time for meeting with supporters, and for couples we will strongly encourage you to attend a marriage enrichment weekend. As a home office we will do everything we can to ensure that your time on the field allows you to grow both in your walk with God and in your ministry skills.
