Our Mission
at International Teams is…Helping churches help the poor and oppressed.
We believe churches are the key to engage in God’s work both locally and globally. We want to see people nurtured, called, sent, and supported from a local church making an impact in Australia and around the globe.
As part of a global organisation we have 1200 workers sent from local churches in 50 countries to serve in 60 countries.
In accepting the Lausanne Covenant we embrace the concept of the whole church taking the whole gospel to the whole world. We want to help Australian churches take the gospel to the whole world.
Our dream is to see a growing number of Australian churches actively engaged in their global mission of compassionate evangelism.
Recognising that there is no longer a perceived gap between evangelism and social concern in the lives and focus of Australian churches and recognising that many churches are seeking to be actively engaged in helping the poor and oppressed in this world, International Teams seeks to come alongside, to help churches fulfill these God-given dreams.
How do we do this?
We help churches and individuals engage in ministries:
- To help refugees find refuge in God
- To bring freedom to those trafficked and enslaved
- To bring security to children at risk
- To bring hope to the poor in cities and disadvantaged communities
- To bring the light of the gospel to muslims and other unreached people groups.
- To disciple next generation leaders.
We offer:
- Church Missions Consultations
- Church Partnerships
- Short-term mission team equipping
- Long-term cross-cultural ministry.
- Individual internships
