Administration
Naomi Jones – Executive Assistant
Naomi is passionate about making a difference in the lives of the disadvantaged and seeking justice for the poor and oppressed. Naomi works closely with the National Director and looks after all aspects of administration in the National Office, from receiving mail, answering the phone, organising events, and keeping the website up to date. Naomi is also the editor of Journey, our quarterly newsletter. Naomi loves hearing stories of God at work around the world and longs for the church in Australia, including her own church, one1seven Redfern, to grow a deepening heart for missions.
Church Missions Consultants
Our church missions consultants engage with Australian church leaders and members to fulfil our mission of helping churches help the poor and oppressed.
Andrew Collins – Training Coordinator
Andrew Collins has been a mission director for 14 years and is currently finishing a BEd in Adult Education. He has years of experience in preparing short-term mission trips. He is passionate about church short term missions teams having a good preparation, good experience and good debrief. Andrew oversees all training aspects for International Teams Australia and plays an integral role in training and leadership development for International Teams globally.
Fiona Hodge – Internships and Long Term Missionaries
Fiona has been involved with International Teams since she served at the Oasis Refugee Centre in Austria in 2002. In her role as church missions consultant, Fiona journeys with new enquirers to International Teams who are seeking to GO – either short term or long term.
Fiona seeks to cultivate and maintain links between the National Office and the sending churches of our long-term missionaries at all stages from enquiry to return from field and between the National Office and our long-term missionaries. She also encourages our long-term missionaries to maintain a healthy relationship with their sending church. Fiona attends Kirkplace Church in Kogarah.
Fiona is currently on maternity leave.
Alex Croyle – International Programs Development Officer
Alex is the newest member of the National Office Team. She will be seeking to pioneer the development of an Australian model for International Teams International Programs. Alex is a contact person for churches, individuals or organisations interested in developing long term partnerships with international programs. Alex attends Lighthouse Community Church in Rouse Hill.
Finance
Trevor Weekley – Chief Financial Officer
Trevor is passionate about seeing God at work through his body, the church. After retiring as an accountant Trevor heard of our need for assistance and thought this would be something he could fit in between golfing engagements. Working now three days a week in the office, he is sorting out our finance systems and is a huge blessing in this. Trevor attends Castle Hill Baptist Church.
Kim Chau – Finance Officer
Kim absolutely loves seeing God working through people, and lives transformed. After a long journey through her accounting degree and a year at Morling College, Kim commenced working at International Teams as the finance officer. Kim looks after receipting, curriculum sales and connects with the individuals and churches who give financially to our missionaries and programs.She loves to hear stories of God’s work from the missionaries as part pf her role at International Teams! Kim attends Agape Alliance Church in Fairfield.
Volunteers
Carolynn Chen
Carolynn looks after all of our graphic design needs, including the Journey Newsletter. She is studying full-time at Sydney Missionary and Bible College.
Arthur Dower
Arthur efficiently stuffs the envelopes for our Journey Newsletter mail-outs. We are very grateful for his reliable service to us every few months!
Amanda Lewis
Amanda recently returned from serving for two and a half years with International Teams in Timisoara, Romania. Amanda is studying full-time at Sydney Missionary and Bible College for two years and is assisting our church missions consultants in helping churches help the poor and oppressed on a part-time basis.
